Tips On Writing Press Release

This can be difficult for those used to writing articles for ezine or other article directories. Keep in mind, your article needs to be in a news format. Google news does not want how to articles and try to stay away from opinion. You need to incorporate an aspect of the news into it so if you were promoting a weigh loss product you may talk about the over weight crisis in American and use that as the news angle to promote your product.

The article can not be a straight sales pitch

Guidelines:

-must be an original article

-make sure your spelling and grammar are correct

-must be at least 200 words, keep it brief, 200-500 words is a good size

-include a image with you article, it should be in .jpg format

-the title should let people know what the article is about, but intrigue them enough to click it

-keep it “newsy”, put in the who, what, when, where, and why – just contain the facts

-do not write in the first person – there should not use works like of “you”, “I’, “we”

-these can not be information articles like an ezine article. the article must be “newsy”.
Try to incorporate some aspect of current news into your article.

-do not put in your opinion or a lot of personality in the article.

-try not to make paragraphs more than 3 sentences.

-the first line should be short and contain your keyword/keyword phrase

-have keyword at least 2 more times in article, don’t keyword stuff

-the facts of your article should be accurate

-it is good to have a quote in your article if possible, but it is not required

-keep your article brief, most readers don’t want to read a long article
